Samantha (Sam) Daly was born and grew up in Melbourne. After high school she spent a year at college in the USA and then studied medicine at Monash University, graduating in 2013.
She then moved to Albury Wodonga where she completed internship and two years as a resident, gaining experience in a variety of fields of medicine. In 2017, Sam spent a year at Wodonga Hospital as a GP registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology. Sam will spend 2018 at MBMC as a GP registrar, training towards GP fellowship.

Outside of medicine, Sam is a keen hockey player. She is currently the captain of the Australian Country Hockey team and will tour to Malaysia and Singapore in April. Locally she plays for the Albury Wodonga Spitfires who compete in the Canberra Capital League. She enjoys travel and has visited 6 out of 7 continents. Sam plans to learn how to ski this winter!
