Lauren was born in Melbourne and grew up in the western suburbs.  Medicine is her third career.  She spent 10 years in the Victorian Police Force. Her second career was 10 years as a full time Ambulance Paramedic Clinical Instructor, where she still works on a casual basis.

She has lived in Tawonga South for 10 years, however longed to live here for the last 20!

Lauren graduated from Monash Medical School in 2013 and trained predominantly in Wangaratta, but also Albury and Wodonga Hospitals.

She loves living in the Kiewa Valley with her three children, Ebony, Josh and Noah.  They have also made the most of growing up in this environment, i.e. giant playground, amongst this awesome community.

She is a keen XC mountainbiker, XC and telemark skiier, loves sea kayaking, hiking, camping and 4WDing.

She loves rural life, the people, the medicine, the unique environment and challenges it brings.

She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, Paramedicine and Psychology.  She is close to completing her Diploma of Emergency Medicine and Australian College of Remote and Rural Medicine Fellowship.

She has a particular interest in emergency medicine, anaesthetics, mental health, and it goes without saying … rural general medicine and surgery.
